Short story and poetry competition with an incredible prize fund of £3,000!

Simple, watch this 36 second trailer, then enter the Magic Oxygen Literary Prize, a ground-breaking writing competition created by eco-publishing couple Tracey and Simon West. The winners of which will be announced during the inaugural Lyme Literary Festival in Dorset, which they are also helping to pull together.
With a prize fund of £3,000 (£1,000 1st, £300 2nd, £100 3rd and 2 x £50 Highly Commended in each category) this quest to uncover brilliant new writing talent has made quite a noise in literary circles and entries have been received from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand. It even had a double-page feature in this months Writing Magazine, the leading publication in this genre.
The 10 best short stories and poems will also be published in an anthology where the ultimate winners in each category will also have their bio splashed over a couple of pages, giving them a fabulous springboard into the literary world.
Additionally, each and every entry will result in a tree being planted in the Magic Oxygen Word Forest in Kenya. The coordinator of the project is Ru Hartwell, founder of Treeflights and a truly dedicated green soul responsible for countless thousands of trees being planted in projects all over the world.
They also want the contest to further help reduce the world’s carbon footprint by judging electronically, doing minimal printing, conserving ink and paper; encouraging entrants to keep submissions on cloud storage, conserving their resources and producing a print on demand anthology in FSC certified paper and an e-book.
